100% domestically grown soy wax
essential oil infused fine fragrances
pure cotton or untreated, natural wooden wicks
Why you should know your candles...
If you love candles as much as we do, you should know about the dangers of paraffin, a common candle wax. Many candle companies love to use paraffin wax because it is cheap and burns hot, resulting in an easily manufactured, strongly scented candle. Unfortunately, paraffin also emits toxic chemicals into the air that we breathe. Paraffin wax is a by-product of petroleum, and when it's burned it releases carcinogenic toxins such as benzene, toluene, and formaldehyde and may result in serious health problems when used on a regular basis. We commit to never using any paraffin in our candles.
Why do we choose to use 100% soy wax?
Soy wax is made from environmentally friendly, renewable resources. Not only are there “green” advantages to choosing soy wax over a different type of candle wax, but soy wax also burns slower than paraffin wax, meaning you get a candle that lasts longer. While all candles emit some black soot while burning, candles made from soy wax burns cleaner and results in less soot.
When a soy candle is properly made, soy wax is an excellent fragrance carrier that does not require chemical amplifiers. The result is a well-balanced true to scent candle. We choose to abstain from chemical additives and enhancers that are typically used to improve performance. Instead, we rigorously test our candles to ensure that each and every candle we make offers a fragrant, clean burning and long lasting candle experience for our customers.
Our Sustainability Pledge
We are proud to be committed to sustainability. In our products we use:
* 100% natural domestically grown soy wax, which is not only healthier for the customer but is also fully biodegradable and compostable.
* recycled kraft paper labels.
* 100% recycled glass jars (Apothecary Collection).
* 100% recyclable glass jars (Mini, White, Wood, and Triple Wick Collections).
In addition, all of our outgoing orders are packaged as plastic-free as possible. We use biodegradable, compostable packing peanuts made from starch and reuse and recycle as many packing materials as possible.
